You have got the structure of the building beautifully Michael.

Thanks for kindness John. I start too dark with the wash from the sky. I need to lighten up some. Also, I need to study tree structure better. I'm an IKEA man, I trust to instinct and assemble the flat pack without reading the instructions. Then I wish I'd read the instructions. Impatient.

Wow Michael I know you are capable of these and inching forward to greatness

Thanks for your generous encouragement Dennis.

Lovely painting Michael,

That is a true Cumbrian cottage . Its made me feel quite nostalgic as I am from Cumbrian stock and have great love for the colours of the whites and dark slates against the fells Diana

It's a super painting Michael.

Very picturesque Michael, lovely painting.

Mick, it's YOUR masterpiece! Don't knock impatience, it can produce spontaneous results....like this. It has freedom.

Lovely watercolour, Michael, beautiful colours.

A lovely result, impatience can be a virtue. I like your Lakeland earthy tones makes we want to go over.

Thanks Fiona, Willie and Cesare.

lovely washes , and the building is spot on. Reminds me of a cottage in Conniston. Very nice job Michael.

The painting looks well - all it needs is a mount and a frame. The cottage is in Walthwaite in Great Langdale on the higher road between Chapel Stile and Elterwater.

Thanks Malcolm. It's down to you.

Well, I think this is tremendous. I like the way you dived in with the strong colours.

Watercolour. Malcolm kindly went through the process of creating this at our art group from one of his masterpieces. Hardly the masterpiece I wanted it to be but I'm learning.
