Thanks Fiona and John. I need to inch away from the semi-abstract style John and aim closer to the traditional. Then when I can satisfy myself with the traditional I'll do the abstract. Strangely enough, I always begin with the intention of traditional and often end up abstract. Story of my life. Thanks for your guidance.

I was born in 1946. In the 1960s and part of the 70s I was an airman in the Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm. I joined Durham Constabulary in 1971.
