Oh I like it Michael. I bet Madame does too - Modigliani, one of my favourite artists.

Thanks Marjorie. I do find that style just, if not more, attractive than photo standard. Madame McManus wouldn't like this portrait so, I've kept it to myself and those I know who may.

A charming success Michael

Gorgeous Madame, Michael!

My wife doesn't like my portrait of her in what I consider a smashing work which got rave reviews from Javed Akbal. I have painted in all her features and what not but it's too truthful for a lady. Just a face but showing things they like to disguise or hide. men have them too but not worried - jowls for instance. How likewise this is we can't judge but it it works in his style and I like the treatment.

Thanks Derek and I note your comment on our work. In fact, this doesn't look like Annette very much. Modigliani seemed to have the ability to get the likeness and still create the outlandish look. That's got to be the work of a master. Me no master Derek.

Acrylic. Just a bit of fun. An attempt at the style of Modigliani
