Thank you, Jenny. I think the Downs are wonderful, but so difficult to draw and paint as the shapes are so spread out. Such a lot depends on chance and the right light, and in recent years I have taken to always carrying a camera to grab the moment if and when it occurs. Kezia

I like the forground textures, also the gold in corn echoed in the sky, fits beautifully.

I love this. Your use of colour is lively and I like the sweeping, circular pattern of the the path with its bright, glistening stones.

Painted from a photograph taken quickly while walking with friends on a hot summer's day. I was particularly intrigued by the swirling composition of the tracks and the marks in the corn. I have little oppurtunity to sit and sketch, but am building an archive of my own reference photographs which has its own advantage, for instance, the sunset was borrowed from one taken the previous year in Wales!
