Thanks all for the positive comments. I submitted Old Pier to the Paisley Art Institute Open Exhibition 2015 along with another painting and I'm delighted to have just heard they've both been accepted!

This is a subject I've painted before, from another angle, but I couldn't resist painting it again as I love the way the light of a summer evening hits the old stones of the pier and the prow of the moored boat.
