'Innocence' is an original painting in pastel of an endangered Bornean orangutan. The Malayan word for people is orang and hutan means forest - meaning 'people of the forest' which is a very good description for a species which shares 96.4% of our genetic make-up! The adult females only give birth every eight years which puts increased pressure on the survival of the breed and makes babies like this very precious indeed! This artwork measures approx 10 inches square.
