I think it has a very nice uniqueness to it... Artistically beautiful!... Really like how all the colors work together.

Karleen you are certainly on your way with this medium too. One of the hardest in my opinion. A lovely misty recession, I especially like the distant tree on the right. The texture of the fallen tree trunk and the one in the foreground. Well done.

A pleasant scene with a subtle cool color harmony. The variety of pictorial elements add lots of interest. One of the more appealing aspects of watercolor, in my humble opinion, is its ability to suggest.

A lovely gentle flow to this painting. Well done.

Good start, did you stipple that foliage I wonder? All sorts of ways of using watercolour, and the only way to learn (which I'm still doing) is to practise whenever you get the chance, try all the approaches you can, and, basically, play with it! Good luck.

Lovely Karleen.. you are getting there, love the range of hills in the back ground.

If this is your first attempt you are well on the road to success.....like it a lot. Well done

Thank you all so very much, your lovely comments have made me more determined to continue on learning water colours, so thank you all again, kind regards Karleen.

Ps I would have replied sooner but have been flat out helping my son move houses, and was too buggered to turn comp on :) Karleen.

hiya Karleen. Thanks for your comments about The Crescent, West Kirby and yes it did take forever. Its a funny thing about patience because i suppose it did but to me it feels more like total relaxation. I don't just dot pictures like you i started with watercolour and stayed with that 4 about 4 yrs which was how long it took me to produce something that looked vaguely ok. i then went on to acrylic and then oil pastel which i still mostly do. i've just browsed your gallery and i've put my comment on this one because although it was your lst it's very appealing and your colours are transparent. keep it up. I don't do watercolour very often and i've lost whatever skills i may have had.

Thank you Patricia for browsing my gallery and leaving comment :-) it always gives a perk to the day. I agree with you on it being totaly relaxing while doing art work I am the same, time goes no where while I;m painting sometimes up till 2and 3 in the morning, but I wouldn't change for nothing, Kind regards Karleen.

This is really excellent, Karleen. I'd be scared to look once you've practised, to be frank!

Hi Colleen, thank you ever so much for your very kind comment, I have found that I really do love water colours, yet had always lacked the courage to try them, joining this site and viewing all the other painters work on here inspired me to try them, I am really pleased that I did, :-) kind regards Karleen.
