Thank you everyone for your very generous comments. I was trying to create a night- sky filled with stars and galaxies looking down on the earth with a slight autumnal glow, but I have to admit it looks as if there is a bit of a forest fire going on there! 😂 The actual painting is quite a bit smaller than the photo; I still have a lot to learn about oil-pastels but I do enjoy using them.

Really like this, especially the foreground. (The shooting star is a nice touch!)
