Great trees Karen and the way you have composed it makes it feel as if the evening is moving in fast.

So moody, the sky look as if we are in for a real storm , beautifully painted Karen.

Love this Karen. It’s especially difficult using oil pastels but the silhouetted background and the very graceful main tree are so beautifully painted. I also greatly admire the colours you have used in the sky, graduating from the darks to that lovely golden, peachy colour. A painting to be very proud of.

Fantastic winter sky Karen, I love the silhouette of the landscape and tree. There is some very fine calligraphic branches and twigs in the main tree…..lovely work.

Thank you Paul. Thank you Fiona, I used a fine point to 'scrape' (I'm not sure that's the correct technical term😂) the branches back to the black surface of the paper. I'm not sure if this is what one is supposed to do but just having a play really! Lots of fun!
