Nice work. Love the rocks with cattail. My suggestion is maybe you could add one or two boats whit sails. It would make the painting more lively.

Agrees with Jimmy, I'm also glad that there is not a bird flying here...followed you from your blog

Roland Kirby white sails, would really lift the painting, and add movement, but put them in the distance. bird is wonderfull too

oh dear phil --you really are anti --bird;s i shall forever hesitate--- now when painting a landsape i think you may have given me a complex!!!!! lol. love the simplicty of this painting.

So simple - but beautiful - love your foreground rocks

Thank you for your comments on my gallery. It was nice of you to take the time to do this. I like this painting of yours - very restful and tranquil. I would be interested to know who your art teacher is as the fact that he/she is trying to get you to loosen up more is quite unusual. I have gone to tutors painting in my style and they really haven't got it at all. They have all seemed quite baffled as to why I don't fill everything in - so you have a special tutor I think. I do think your style is lovely and not sure you should change anything about it.

A really lovely peaceful painting, your style doesn't need changing i promise you

I love the space in this painting sometimes less is more for me I wouldn't put another thing in it it is beautiful the way it is...so atmospheric and peaceful...this is a gift

I have just found this painting and it does not need a single thing added to it. It is absolutely beautiful. So peaceful I can almost hear the silence.
