Red Onions

Red Onions

Love the light in this Joseph and the juicy darks. A couple of great watercolours!

Delicious intensity of colour and your signature portrayal of strong white light. Lovely.

Echoed here - it's lush!

The Ladies of Shalot. And very appetizing they look too!

Had to log-in again just to repeat how fine these are. In its way, each is worthy of a watercolour conference: the whole manual has been read, understood, digested, then thrown in the (kitchen) bin in favour of something much more subtle. Just look at the interplay of colour, shade and wash in the central one! Who'd ever have thought a humble onion could be expressive?

Thank you Kim for your kind comments - much appreciated
