I like this a lot Julie. The harmonious colours you've used convey a joyful mood - I feel I can't wait to step through into the sunshine!

This is really lovely Julie, the colours really glow and the composition is excellent. I love it! ,

i love this. I like the view and the colours are wonderful

Lots of depth and interest, Julie, I'd like to go for a wander around in it. Did you have to let the paint dry before using the rigger? I paint in watercolours and although I did a term in Artisan oils I can't quite get my head around it!

Thank you all a for your kind comments. I did enjoy painting this, and in a much freer style to my usual offerings. Caroline, I did let the background colours dry for a few days before putting in the trees and using the rigger brush to paint in the branches, and then the following day when the paint on the trees and branches had started to dry (dark colours dry much faster than lights and whites) I put in the leaves. The paint is much thicker than I normally apply it.

A lovely piece, Julie - superb work with the recession, and your palette is beautiful.

Lovely work, like the colours
