Hi Julie. I love your chicken. I know what you mean about trying to get a good snap of one, they move so fast! I have a close up in oils of one of my rescue hens I will post it soon. Kind regards Kevin.

It seems I've missed you postings Julie. I love Dottie, you've captured that suspicious and flighty look in her eye. I have a few hens and a few cockerels too, lovely creatures aren't they?

This is a painting of Dottie - one of my five chickens. I am not entirely sure of her breed but there seems to be a lot of 'Wyandotte' in her. This too was painted from a photograph - just try and keep a chicken still for long enough to take a decent photograph let along paint her portrait! She is a suspicious and flighty madam!
