She is adorable and you have painted her so well, a lovely painting Julie

A beautiful bird, I love the colours and you have really got the feathers well.

Hello Frida - splendid chuck! I can just taste those fresh eggs........

She is a beautiful bird, lovely painting Julie

It's a lovely painting Julie, love her expression!

Beautiful painting of a lovely hen. She's gorgeous, and her expression is just delightful.

Lovely portrait of Frida - looks a real character. You are lucky if she has laid during the winter. My daughter's chickens totally give up from November to April, but then they are rather useless rarer breeds - very pretty but not a lot of use in the egg department. I keep telling my daughter to march them past the Aga and that might concentrate their minds a bit more lol!

Lovely painting :)

A super bird, you have captured her stance so well.

Gorgeous intelligent looking bird!

Thank you all so much for your very kind comments. I have decided I must try and photograph one of the others and have another go at painting a chicken. Now - if they will just keep still for a moment ...

Frida is lovely and so is your painting.

Frida is a gem of a chicken - having laid an egg every day except two since we had her last May. I purchased her as an 'ISA Brown' but I think she is also known as a Warren. She is a delightful, friendly girl an I enjoyed painting her. She was a bit suspicious of the camera though!
