Still life experiment
Just finished reading one of Shirley Trevena's books - I love her work. I couldn't emulate it in a million years, but enjoyed trying. Definitely not loose enough! The patterning at the top of the painting was achieved by painting masking fluid on to a piece of anaglypta wallpaper and then printing it onto the watercolour paper. When dry I washed the colour over, removing the masking fluid when the paint had dried.
