You have captured the sharp eyed look of a corvid very well

Knew these were yours as soon as I saw them Julie! As Peter has said you have really captured that sharp eyed look. The lovely autumnal background colours are perfect.

It must be that time of year, I'm seeing corvids of one type or another everywhere and like you, I want to paint/draw them. This is brilliant Julie, painted so well and the background suits the subject perfectly.

Stunning piece, Julie! Just love the layers, the textures, the palette and the composition. Excellent positioning of the dramatic dark shape of the rook against the pastel hues of the backdrop. It's so very effective.
