Piper - Second attempt

Lovely painting. Gorgeous fur. She looks like a Border Terrier?

Beautiful eyes and lovely shiny fur, she looks so adorable.

Piper is actually a border terrier crossed with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is adorable - but my own dog Mishka won't have anything to do with her - she is young and bouncy - Mishka is a genteel old man!

A wonderful painting - how can you resiste her?!

Such a lovely expression! She's irresistible, for sure!

Thank you for your comment on my cow and thank you for introducing me to your gallery. I absolutely love this painting - everything is so well executed but those ears!!!! so silky and soft! Very well done.

Great expressive eyes, she must be. Able to pull at the heart strings

This is a much more carefully executed picture of Piper - this time done in water mixable oils over an acrylic underpainting. This is my third attempt using W & N water mixable oils, and I am really enjoying using them. This painting is a much more accurate representation of the dog than the acrylic version, and my daughter says I have really caught her likeness!
