Beautiful painting of one of my favourite flowers. The halo of light really sets the flower heads off, with the dark centers in contrast.

just caught up with this one and sorry I didn't spot it before - so well painted - my helebores are currently still under a carpet od snow - the promise of things to come

Another flower painting - perhaps echoing my longing for Spring! That said, several of the hellebores in my garden have been flowering since mid-December! This was painted on a canvas board with water soluble oils. Once again I was attracted by the light coming from behind the flowers and shining through the petals.
