I have not known your work before I saw this painting and just looked through your gallery - what a lovely body of work! I see from the dates on the pictures that there has been a progression to the last few works with subtle changes along the way. I really like these last two expressive pieces and look forward to seeing more.

Thank you for your nice comments, Beatrice. Fortunately I took no notice of the school art teacher who instructed me to stick to my drawing rather than try to paint! Size of this is about 5'X4'.

Sowerby again, and another big canvas that nobody else wanted, but was perfect for me! Somehow the scale of the subject invited a huge freedom in the way I interpreted this subject.
