I am indebted to my cousin Rosemary for the series of paintings of which this is just one. She used to live in one of the Coastguard cottages looking across the Menai Straits to Puffin Island and Penmaenmawr. In return for dogsitting services she generously let me use the panoramic window of her garden shed to paint to my heart's content! NB - The 'windowframe' in the picture was inspired by my cousin's request to paint the view as it might appear if there was a large window in the wall above her fireplace!
