Come down here to the Isle of Wight - specifically Niton Undercliff, near Ventnor - and you can see these characters in the flesh and feather; in fact, a pair is nesting in a derelict section of our old house at the moment. They look pure white in flight, against an evening sky.

A gift of a subject! A beautiful stuffed barn owl watching over John Lyons' Hebden Bridge studio. I was privilieged to spend an inspirational six weeks one memorable year during the vibrant annual Arts Festival there, developing exhibition material. This is just one of the resulting paintings.
