John, thank you for your comments on my knifework. You are right I should not have called it practice. I have edited that. I do love impressionist art. I love to paint freely and with abandon. I too, look for skies colouring etc. you have definitely found it in this. A lovely pastel. Another medium I love using. Very well done. PS back still horrible maybe it was the drugs that let me loose!

I`ve tried pastels and cant get the hang of them but you have captured that atmospheric mood again! Love it ! HARRY [Greg].

Pastel on 'Royal Sovereign' rough board. Approx. 14" x 10". Painted from my own photograph, at the time. I was primarily interested in the unusual purplish glow in the sky. This spot is not far from the village of Trebetherick, Cornwall, where you can find St. Enedoc 's Church, Sir John Betjemen's last resting place.
