King Street - Ludlow
I've literally just completed this one - a colourful, busy but still I think quite restful view of a bright, blue , Autumn day on King Street in the lovely market town of Ludlow in my home county of Shropshire. The interesting building in the centre streetscape is called The Buttercross - possibly where dairy products were brought to be sold (I'm guessing) - now a bistro of course. And yes, the older timber buildings really do lean over at the crazy angles shown in the painting ! I've done this one as a local interest item for a solo exhibition I'm putting on in the rather nice little gallery in Ludlow Library - running throughout March next year. 80cm by 60cm by 4cm, on deep box canvas. Image continues around the sides of the box .
