Again, John...Not my style, but clever and well executed.

Inspired stuff - find out who publishes Agatha Christie's novels, and offer your services as a dust-jacket illustrator. This style would lend itself extremely well to such illustration, because your pictures tell a story... and I'm not one of those who draws a dividing line between "art" on the one hand and "illustration" on the other; apologies if you already have this market cracked, but if you haven't got an agent already I should get one and go search for outlets. You're prolific, your work is colourful, appealing, sharp, full of life and incident - have a crack at it, and if it works you can pay me commission for suggesting it!

A mildly humorous painting - the stock characters from a "whodunnit" film or novel stand around waiting for the usual nefarious convoluted action to begin - again. Just a chance to play around with some almost cartoonish characters - Colonel Mustard, etc. 26 inches by 16.5 inches, on canvasboard.
