I like this. I tend to leave cars out of views when I paint them, but your recent paintings show they can add interest and splashes of colour.

Thanks Andrew! I think that cars add a splash of colour and life! Maybe it’s best to include the tricky/messy subjects so the painting doesn’t appear ‘post-apocalyptic’… I’ve done my share of those 😜

Really good John (and, yes, I like the addition of the cars too).

I really like the way you apply the paint and make your subjects look so interesting.

Well painted John, you have really captured the moment 👍

Thanks Heather- I’m still trying to perfect cars and people but it’s worth it I feel 😊😊

Thank you Elaine, I had some paint on the palette and was about to scrape it off but had a wee doodle instead 😊

Hi Stephen, thanks very much for your generous comment 🙏🏼🙏🏼😊

Great painting.

Thanks Denise, you’re very kind 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Excellent work John, but please don't try to hard for photographic camera-style likeness. I love the impressionist style looseness of what you've done..

I agree with Jim, and this is a cracking “wee doodle” John!

Thanks Dawn, glad you like it 😊

Thanks Tessa, thanks Jim. I agree… paintings should look like paintings and not photos… I hope I’m not sliding down that route 😳😊

Works so well. Reminds me of a friends house at school

Another winner John.
