This is really good John.

Many thanks Stephen 🙏🏼

Oh, it is lovely and you have done justice to it.

Thank you Heather - you are so kind 🙏🏼

Nice work John…

Alan - thank you 🙏🏼

I know that painting - it's well worth a look; but so is your version - you've toned down the buoy a bit (I wonder if you found the original strong colour presented too many challenges in terms of tonal balance: I would have!) but you've got the light, the wonderful depth of colour in the water, the powerful contrast of the white sails, and I bet you learned a great deal from doing it.

I don't know the original but I love this one John.

Hi Robert, you’re quite right about the buoy and there’s no specific rhyme or reason it was painted that way apart from the lighting when I took the photo. Seago is a personal favourite of mine and I have learned so much from him over the years. Have a fantastic Christmas

Thank you Diane, delighted you like it 🙏🏼

Lovely work as always, Happy Christmas !

Lovely work John. Merry Christmas to you !

Thank you Andrew and Valerie- Merry Christmas to you all 😎

There's a wonderful abstract quality to this painting, the rectangles, blocks of color, poles, and that circular "ball" for variety. The color combos are a knockout beautifully rendered. This painting has a sense of calm, peace and beauty so well done.

A swift oil on paper study of a beautiful painting by Edward Seago. Obviously I haven’t done it justice although it was a joy to play about with.
