Much obliged Brian Collins :)

Love the way you have treated your subject John. A busy Island of almost tangled machinery brought to life.

Wonderful reflections of a tangled scene.

Love the way you have painted and simplified all the information of the subject John, super!

As you rightly said, there is a good side and the bad side of town, city or the countryside. Most artists avoid the ugly. I like this work for its frankness and stark beauty.

Wonderful painting, I like everything about this - composition, colour, reflection, shapes etc etc!

Wonderful painting.

Terrific depiction of port industry. Love it.

Chris, Stephen, Fiona, Sunil, Heather, Denise and Willie... thank you all very much for taking the time to write your thoughts on this painting. It's always pleasing and interesting to find out how others perceive a thing I am probably to closely attached to :)

This painting shows the rusting, industrial scene at Rosenburg ship refurbishment yard as seen from the oil and gas museum in Skagen, Stavanger. Sketches were made from the quayside and the painting executed in the studio.
