Lovely little dog in pastel John, good fur rendering and lovely eye

Excellent painting.I think there must be some wirehaired dachsund in this little dog.I think a less fussy background would enhance this lovely picture.

Thanks for feedback. Background supposed to be wet tarmac but take your point.
