Hi John I very much like your landscapes, realy nice feel to them, keep on Painting. Thanks for your Kind comments on my work. ref your question towards the abstract ,,, as Picasso said Paint what you feel not what you see. for me it's the interpretation that matters not if it looks like a particular place or whatever. I use brush, knife,anything at hand when I paint and only a very loose idea, say Landscape or Figure in Landscape. I also turn the canvas as I paint at times takes the me out of the work, so to speak . . some of my early influences were Graham Sutherland and Peter Lanyon I got my tips from these guys.
