Beautiful study, Tim, with marvellous use of aerial perspective and glorious palette. The reds positively sing! The river and its reflections, the sense of place, the atmosphere and highlights are all top drawer. Great stuff, Bri

A superb painting, of a great scene.

Fabulous Tim - I really like the way you have painted detail in the foreground where the main focus is. And that red funnel is great.

Lovely scene Tim, I love the detail on the boats contrasting with the faded background.

Ive really enjoyed spending a few minutes having a good look around your impressive painting. so much to admire, both in subject and technique

Thanks for your feedback. As for the red, it reminds me of the story about Constable who spent ages adding more colour to his canvas at the RA before an exhibition opened in the hope of outdoing his rival. Then Turner came in with his palette, went up to his very much simpler, duller picture and quickly added a bright red buoy into the seascape and left. Less is more!

Wonderful view and beautiful colours, Tim.

Beautiful !

A much-painted aspect of the River Thames, looking from the Golden Jubilee Bridge. An oil study I created on a wooden panel to test the lighting and colours in preparation for a larger commission. This oil study was painted from pencil sketches and watercolour studies I created during a hot day in July 2017 before enjoying a cold beer on board the Tattershall Castle.
