I started this painting in Sept 2016 during a Plein-Air sketching trip to the Nottinghamshire garden of Stuart Dixon BA(hons) CPSE. MI HORT who is a Horticultural lecturer, writer and broadcaster, currently featuring on BBC Radio Nottingham with his gardening show. Bad weather cut short my outdoor session and it was only when I recently rediscovered the picture that I finished it off.
