No, don’t bin it Jenny! If you’re still not happy with it, how about using your amazing collage talent on the bottom half? I think it’s brilliant but I don’t have your vision…..or talent!

Thank you, Fiona, you’re always so supportive, I do appreciate it (although don’t feel I really deserve such kind words!). I had thought of collage but couldn’t see how it would work on this one - will probably put it to one side for a while and look at it again later..

I don’t see a disconnect here Jenny. Maybe your sheep look a little separated from the landscape but that doesn’t detract from an otherwise lovely painting and the colours look fine to me.

Well I think you’re being very hard on yourself Jenny, as I think the whole painting gels beautifully. It’s the overall result that really matters so tiny things you are not happy with, I doubt anyone will notice. I applaud you on your wonderful sense of design and composition. Great result.

It’s definitely a keeper Jenny, I don’t see any disconnection, I think the colours in the foreground link it to the area behind the sheep. I hope you keep it and I love the sheep!

Thank you, Heather, for your observation. Looking at it again today, I can see that the bottom, less neat, half does work for it and adds interest, so perhaps a bit of serendipity!
