Well I like yellow so no problem there Jenny! I like the way you’ve captured a feel of heat and dampness in the rainforest. Also I like your froggy!

I agree with Tessa!

Clever mixed media piece - the leaf prints are great.

I like it a lot, Jenny!

A lovely piece Jenny.

I like this Jenny I don mind the yellow background it add hint of warmth from the sun .

Thanks for the kind comments! (Still not sure I really like this, but don’t think there’s any more I can do to it now.)

Beautiful leaves Jenny and love froggy and the butterflies.

Thank you, John and Sandra, comments appreciated!

Very striking, could inspire me to do something similar. Must read up the process. By the way, I think you have got the yellow/green balance just about right, Jenny.

Thanks, Frank! I’ve tried prints from a variety of leaves, but the one I find that works best is from my hottuynia plant - the back of the leaves have a nice vein structure and take the paint well. Fun to do!

I have come back to this one several times Jenny, I love it.

Thank you so much, Spencer and Sylvia! I didn’t quite know what to expect when I posted this, so it’s great to get such positive feedback.

27 x 29cm mixed media - a leaf print collage on acrylic ink background with added photo collage. A rework of what I did some years ago and was never happy with it - too yellow, mainly. Have tried to tone down the yellow in places and have added some (photo) collage to add interest. A little happier with it now, but won’t use so much yellow in future!
