Love your collage!!

Jenny this is so beautiful. Love all the individual mediums used in this way to create the work of art it is. The gold is gorgeous! A title that came to mind which has a connection to you, the bird and the woman is…Jenny Wren…..a name which I know this bird as.

That's exquisite Jenny. I love the contrast between the simplified drawing of the young woman and the collage.

Very different and very good Jenny. Really like the simplified drawing of the young lady - to me this collage has a Victorian / Edwardian " look".

Thank you so much for all the very kind comments - and to Fiona and Paul for the title suggestion - I’ve used Jenny Wren for a number of other paintings already, but you’re right, it does suit this one well. I enjoyed doing this - there’s something very satisfying about creating a collage and working it out as you go along.

I have never really tried collage but this is a delight Jenny.

Thanks, Frank! It’s useful for giving a new lease of life to paintings which maybe don’t work too well on their own. You can block out with white gesso and repaint any areas you don’t want to include. It’s quite fun to do and adds another level of interest.

Thanks for the response Jenny. Must give it a try sometime but I have several things on the go at the moment and really must try and complete at least one of them!
