An old one

Did you delete the swan Jenny? I’ve left a message on your last posting about it, I couldn’t open it. You’ve always had a good eye for style and design Jenny by the look of this, both fantastic. The one on the left is particularly stylish.

Thanks, Fiona, yes I deleted the swan, but have now posted it again as you’ve mentioned it - thought I’d managed to delete it before anyone had seen it!

Would love to know how you have produced these Jenny. Is the main central shape a collaged stencil?

I had to go and look again to check - it was done so ago I don’t remember doing it! I did a correspondence course in commercial art and design in my early 20s and it was part of the coursework for that. The one on the right is done in poster paint and charcoal. The white area of the one on the left is a cut out on top of what looks like a glossy paper cut from a magazine with the pen and ink design on top. A lot of what I’m looking back on seems so much more creative than what I’m doing now, but has given me ideas for new work.

Great style, I like it. I'm so glad you had the sense to keep your old artwork.

These are good!

Thanks Jenny. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes from your old and new styles.....exciting stuff!

Thank you, Lewis, Heather, Fiona and Paul! I’m a terrible hoarder, and rarely throw stuff away, although am trying to be a bit more selective now in what I keep.

Yes what a magical creator you are Jenny

Thank you, Dennis, you are always so supportive, it’s really appreciated.

Having a clear out I came across a folder of artwork from my school and college days which I’d completely forgotten about! This was a collage done for some coursework.
