March forum challenge

Jenny I’ve just had a guess what this could be on the forum.......is it Dune, or maybe Tremors? Love the way you’ve done the sand dunes, great colours.

Thanks, Fiona, I did reply on the forum - yes, it is Dune! (Don’t know Tremors.) Dune is a great read, one of my favourites.

Another great image Jenny. I haven't read Dune so I was thinking of Tremors too (though that may only be a film?)

Thanks, Margaret, I hadn’t heard of Tremors so looked it up, seems it was based on an original screenplay, not a book, but it sounds very similar in some respects to Dune. There were actually five sequels to the first Dune book and quite a heavy read at times, but worth the effort!

I don't know Dune. I must be missing out or just not done enough reading! It's a fab illustration though Jenny. Love your colour choice.

Thanks, Louise! Dune was first published in the 1960s, but a film was made of it in the 1980s which I think is where most people remember it from. I didn’t see the film, but read all the books - if you like science fiction it’s well worth a read.
