See what you mean by heavy Jenny but you handled it just right lovely

I really like how it turned out Jenny. Colours of the dry season.

I think it's gorgeous.

Not heavy, substantial Jenny and as you say, so it should be. Looks like quite a family gathering, it's charming.

Absolutely lovely, Jenny!

Many thanks Dennis, Ibolya, Emma, Fiona, Maureen and Jennifer for your welcome comments, much appreciated.

I think that there is a difference between heavy and overworked. Your "heaviness" has resulted in lovely darks that are giving the elephants form. The simple lines make for a very pleasing work. Love it!

They stand out beautifully Jenny, very nice!

Lovely Jenny.. nice technique 💛

I think it's great Jenny, I don't think you have made it too heavy, on the contrary, it looks just right!

Thanks very much Frank, Linda, Carole and Rachel, your comments are really appreciated. (Frank, my tendency to keep adding more layers worked out OK this time, but it very often doesn't - I don't have a particularly light touch when it comes to watercolours, although I have now accepted that this is just the way I paint, and have learned to live with it!)

Thanks, Margaret!

So beautiful....

Thanks, Ruthy!

I started out intending to try a fairly quick line and wash, but in my usual fashion kept adding more layers until it got a bit too heavy, but maybe that was OK given the subject matter!
