Jenny, it's brilliant.......the Badger, the tree and the birds! Great composition and application.

The badger stands out fine, lovely piece of work.

Thank you, Dennis, Kirstie, Fiona and Carole. (So pleased you like it - I still have this thing about my work being rather unsophisticated compared with a lot of work posted by others.)

Thanks, Val!

Jenny art comes in all shapes and sizes. Although I feel like you, my work doesn't come up to standard with the brilliant work I see on here. But this site is for everyone and we find it so encouraging , so,,, keep posting I love your prints, something most of us cannot do! ;)

Thanks Kirstie and Carole - I guess it's easy to be over sensitive about our own work - I love the work both of you post and wouldn't have imagined that you also have your doubts! As you say, the thing is to keep going - accept that our own styles are individual, enjoy what we do, and try not to worry too much about how we compare with others. On to the next one.....

Just scrolling through the gallery when this beautiful design caught my eye. I love badgers and love the way this badger is almost part of the tree. I really love it

Thank you, Diana, for your kind comment, much appreciated.

I think he works well Jenny.

You can add my name to the 'doubter's' list Jenny. When I see your linocuts I look at mine and want to give up!!! You produce such unique designs which I admire greatly......please don't give up, you're my inspiration to have another go!!

Thanks, Sylvia!

Fiona, it was your linocuts that inspired me in the first place!! - especially 'Cyril' which I really loved. I'm actually surprised how much I'm enjoying doing linocuts with monochrome printing as colour is one of the main reasons I usually paint. Anyway, thank you so much for your support and encouragement - and it's good to know that we all take inspiration from one another!

Another fairly simple linocut. Not sure how well this one works, the badger doesn't stand out too well from the background. (Suppose it would make sense to do a proper black and white sketch to start with rather than working from a line drawing, but I quite like the uncertainty of not knowing just how it will look until printed!)
