This is beautiful Jenny. I love the blending of the wet in wet and the texture of the background. It has your style with the lovely placing and curving of the leaves. Diana

The flowers have beautiful washes blending Jenny. Love the design of woven leaves.

super stuff - love the colours Jenny.

Thanks, Diana, Carole and Michael, much appreciated. (Carole, the flowers were actually done in one Daniel Smith colour, Rose of Ultramarine - when you add more water to it on the paper it separates into a lovely range of its component colours.)

Thank you Jenny, I have had my eye on that colour for a while. I gave in and bought the 5ml tube to see if I liked it. It is a lovely shade especially how you have used it.

This is lovely Jenny....very accomplished!

This is lovely Jenny. The shading on the Irisis is great.

Thanks very much Sylvia and Adele for your kind comments. (Carole, another Daniel Smith colour which is well worth trying if you haven't already come across it is Moonglow. It also produces some lovely granulated effects.)

Jenny, it's beautiful.

Thanks, Fiona!

Thank you jenny, that is a colour I first bought from DS. It was promoted in the Artist mag a while ago. I think it is good for shadows too if it is watered down a lot.

It's super, Jenny! As with all your pieces, the composition is spot on, and the palette is gorgeous.

Thanks very much, Seok, comment appreciated, as always.

Thats more like it Jenny. I like the tingly crinkle bits on the edge of the petals.

Thanks John, yes, it was a bit more interesting this time!

I did paint an earlier version of this, done as an art class exercise, but I wasn't very happy with the result so thought I'd have another go at it. Still not entirely happy with this one, and have been fiddling with it for some time, but thought I'd better leave it before it gets too overworked!
