Wow, Jenny, this is lovely. Beautiful subject and so well executed. Love the shapes.

Very nice too Jenny, wonderful work

Lovely work Jenny.

Lovely sense of movement, and love the way you have painted the sea 😀

Lots of movement in this one Jenny, I really like this.

Looks really good Jenny. Super shaped Dolphins and I love the water. How did you do that?

This is beautiful, Jenny.

Great work and a great subject for the challenge. I think I will just stick to my one, busy on competition stuff and deadline looming.

Many thanks everyone for your comments! Louise, the water was done with cling film and acrylic ink (it can be done with watercolour but I find the inks give a better result) - apply a wash of varying strengths on the paper then lay the cling film on it flat to start with then manipulate it to give the shapes you want, then leave it until completely dry before removing. It's a bit hit and miss and doesn't always turn out as expected! For the white in the top half I dribbled white ink under the edges of the cling film after it was applied. I love playing around with this method and it's useful for cutting up as collage.

Love the water effects and the two diving dolphins, Jenny.

Thanks, Annick!

Superb Jenny! You do add a touch of class to these challenges.

Thanks, Fiona, what a lovely comment, it's cheered me up no end! (I'm having one of my, thankfully rare, 'why am I bothering to paint' days today!)

Lol.....every time I pick a brush up I have one of those kind of days Jenny! I keep telling myself this one is a practice for the next one....

Thanks Jenny. I thought it was cling film, it was the white bits I wasn't sure about. I'll have to buy some white acrylic ink :)

Thanks, Gudrun! - and Louise, yes the white ink is very useful for cling film work. I also often use cheap WHS watercolour paper with cling film as it's not very absorbent and the ink sits more on the surface. I can also experiment more with it without wasting my expensive watercolour paper!

My second attempt at this challenge - I'm not great at sketching, so have gone for collage on an acrylic ink base.
