Brilliant again Great Jenny

Thank you, Paul and Dennis, much appreciated

I can see why so many people like the boats, Jenny. They caught my eye instantly. Lovely style.

Thanks very much, Paul, your comment is appreciated.

Certainly boats with a difference Jenny, good strong shapes.

Jenny you should have your work published. Colours, shapes always so good in your work.

I love the stylise ( is that a word) your subjects. The boats are wonderful and such good perspective. I was painting en plein air yesterday at the coast. My attempt at a boat is pitiful! Diana

I love the "abstracted" style of this, Jenny. Very appealing

The black outline really makes the painting "zing". Lovely Jenny.

Well done on your sales Jenny. Lovely little boats.

Thank you so much Alan, John, Diana and Pat for your kind comments. (I'm quite surprised by the positive response to this one - I hesitated before posting it as I thought it was rather simple and unsophisticated, although I know that boats and the sea can be a very appealing subject matter!)

Thanks very much Adele and Carole!

Another of your great designer paintings Jenny, so stylish.

I can see why you sold a few of these Jenny , lovely clean , sharp images. I like boats to .

Thank you so much Fiona, Sylvia and Satu. I'm delighted that so many people seem to like this one.

Hi Jenny. re what you have said I felt the piece was a bit unfinished. A couple of sea gulls on the boats and perhaps a lobster pot would strengthen and the the image. give that real seaside feel and hold the viewers attention longer.

John, thanks for the suggestions. I agree some seagulls would have given it a bit more life - and broken up the rather empty section in the middle. (I did in fact include some on later versions of this). I had also wanted to include lobster pots but couldn't seem to draw them convincingly and gave up! Will have to have another go at them.

Haven't got any new paintings on the go at the moment (have been busy with my art club's spring exhibition) so thought I'd post this little boat design which I did a few years ago. (Surprisingly, I sold a number of these at the time - people seem to like boats!)
