Magnificent - the colours and texture is spot on.

Fabulous cabbage and palette too, well done!

Wonderful colours and tones.

Beautifully painted and I agree the colours are absolutely superb.

... and you have 'done' a cabbage beautifully!

Beautifully painted, love the subtle shifts of hues. You've captured the texture and curves of the leaves really well.

Wow, amazing painting, shows that beauty can be found in the most everyday subject!

Fantastic, Janet.

Who thought cabbages could be so beautiful! Gorgeous colours.

It always amaze me when people make great art out of the most ordinary of subjects. Well done.

Who would have thought a cabbage could make such a lovely painting! Beautiful colours.

A complex subject beautifully painted, Janet. The variety of subtle tones is lovely.

What beautiful work!

Lovely work Janet!

love the blues and greens, well observed and well executed

Brilliant painting.

That is so realistic.....looks just like the "cabbage patch" !

Thank you everyone for your encouraging comments. It was fun doing something from nature (with a little artistic licence thrown in, of course!.

This is absolutely magnificent, Janet ! 🥬✨ The depth you captured in the leaves and those subtle shifts between deep blues and greens are stunning. It's incredibly beautiful and poetic ! Wonderful work.

Acrylic on 40x40cms. canvas board. The last painting on 2020 finished on NYs Eve. Once again, finding myself without inspiration someone just said 'Cabbage! Do a Cabbage', so nothing daunted that's what I did.
