Cromer Beach in December

Cromer Beach in December

I know the feeling. It just happened to me too. Lovely drawing/painting you made there, Jamie.

Beautiful painting. Wish you well, Jamie..

Lovely, Jamie, even if you're handicapped by the flu. Hope you recover soon.

Which end of Cromer did you do this from? We used to walk a lot on West Runton beach which then joins to Cromer beach. We sold our house in Norfolk and I miss this beach so it was lovely to see your excellent painting. Good choice to put the birds in.

P.S. I am suffering the after effects of a flu jab, which appears to have given me a mild dose of flu - so you have my sumpathy - get well soon!

Thank you all for your comments & best wishes. I am recovering - just! But it was enough to get out and do a sketch over behind Horsey church. We went walking late and it was dark when we got back. Originally intended to see the seals but unlike a few years ago there were hundreds of people going that way and so we went the other way. Thea, the part of beach is heading away from cromer towards overstrand. The pier to my back. I know East Runton beach well as my mum used to live in a cottage just off of the road which becomes the slipway. The other week I saw a few photos of that beach - Victorian, and it was a lot more crowded with boats and beach huts then. All the best to you all.

Pencil & wash - whilst still full of flu - aren't we all? Why does that happen when we are already home from work? It just wastes valuable drawing/painting time! Haven't been able to pick up a pencil for a week.
