Stunning, love what you're achieving with graphite and charcoal

This was drawn with Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black Pencils which combine graphite and carbon (charcoal) to give a dense matt black. The whiskers were revealed with a Tombow eraser pen.

Mars Lumograph are great pencils, aren't they? I'm late to this one, but love the imperious gaze of our master, the cat. A combination of supreme contempt, coupled with a touch of neediness.

Thank you Robert. My reference was a photo of Patch sitting on the top of hay bales, so the upward view emphasises his imperiousness. Dogs have owners; cats have staff.
