If it wasn't off the main drag there would be a car park, ice cream van, ticket kiosk and buses full of tourists. Unfortunately as I can no longer walk, I cannot see these places any more so I rely on good people like youselves to share the atmosphere and beauty of nature's best kept secrets. So thank you.

Oil on Board 10" x 8" Catrigg Foss, just out of Stainforth... a bit of a climb, but once there - is well worth it. Its one of those magical places, all too often overlooked as it is off the main drag (thankfully) and not as popular as some of the other 'beauty' spots around here. In summer this is a pleasant dip, especially after a hot and sweaty day gardening...
