‘Dear Prudence’ by Spencer Lambeth-Angell

‘Dear Prudence’ is a song by the Beatles released in 1968 on their double album, ‘The Beatles’also know as the ‘White Album’. It was written by John Lennon in Rishikesh during the groups visit to India. It was inspired by Mia Farrows sister, Prudence Farrow who became so obsessive about meditating while practicing with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, that she would not leave her room. Her designated partners on the meditation course were John Lennon and George Harrison who attempted to coax Prudence out of her seclusion which led to Lennon writing the song. Its lyrics are simple and innocent and celebrate the beauty of nature.
