The crayons have worked Spencer, love the folds in her headscarf…….wonderful sentiment too.

Like your apple core picture I read this two ways. She is either sad and desperately hopeful or suppressing an ironic laugh at the thought of peace on earth. Either way it works Spencer

Thank you Martin. Yes. You can see two ways round this. I had thoughts that she could have been a refugee running from terror or, an older person in Ukraine crying out for peace and the shock of what she sees going on around her.

What we all need in this crazy world we now live in Spencer. George had found his faith long before he sadly left this earth. Good one Spencer.

The second of my ‘Beatles’ inspired paintings. This song was written by George Harrison. Although I had intended it to be fully watercolour it evolved into mixed media as I couldn’t make the right skin tone due to my colour blindness. Therefore I used some skin tone crayons for the first time.
