Thoughtful. Nicely painted Spencer.

So true ! Super painting

Well said and very well depicted

Excellent work Spencer . I managed a mental health service for many years and I would have been good to have this and similar ones as posters in the days centres etc.

Very thought provoking Spencer as someone who suffers from depression I recognise the sentiment.

Very good Spencer, these would be ideal for Health centres and such, they really get a message across.

I agree, this would make a great poster - and the use of the salt to convey all those thoughts works extremely well.

Great work Spencer and very true 💜💙

So well represented Spencer

Thank you Paul, Bryan, Denise, Andrea, Faye and Val for your kind and positive comments.

That is really superb, Spencer!!

Hi Spencer I immediately was drawn to this picture. I struggle daily with mental health issues including depression and anxiety. I know what it's all about. I appreciate your painting and the message is true and powerful.

Thank you Michael. I understand how you feel and can truly appreciate the day to day struggle.

Think this would be a good time to then mention art therapy, where you can explore difficult thoughts and feelings through art making and play. Definitely takes the stress out of it! Sensitively done Spencer.

Thank you Hilary. I agree that art is a great therapy and one that isn’t always used to it’s full potential. You can engage yourself in your artwork and that is the only thing important at that moment in time.

I’ve tried to do this simply. The figure is positioned so it can be either male or female. It sits on a precipice because that’s how you feel. Each salt dot is something going round in your head. The statement is something that anyone who has anxiety or depression would say.
