Thank you so much for your kind comments Heather and Faye. If this series of paintings I’m doing make people think about mental health issues then I’m pleased. At some time in everyone’s lives some form of mental health issues can come to the fore - if it makes people talk about it or think that they are not the only person feeling that way, then it has all been worth doing.

This anonymous verse focuses on that voice in your head. With anxiety that voice becomes very negative and makes you question everything you say, do, or think about. We all have to fight that voice at times. I wanted to create a simple background but with radiating thoughts from that large voice in the background. The individual looks quite disconsolate hoping that voice goes away.
