Snowy Crinkles from Mickleden
Something of a departure for me, this ink and wash painting was adapted from a photo taken up the Mickleden valley in the Lake District on a very cold Winter walk. The view, looking towards the Crinkle Crags, had virtually no colour and seemed ideal for an ink drawing. Derwent GRAPHIK line markers in black and graphite were used, which are not waterproof. Pale watercolour washes were used to soften the ink edges.
